Chicago: William C. Hazelton, 1944. Second edition, but the first with the 24 page prolegomenon. Publisher's blue cloth. 7 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches (19.5 x 13.5 cm); 24, 160 pp.; frontispiece, illustrations in text, including some after drawings by Walter Bohl and Henry Thode. A near-fine copy.
A scarce Hazelton publication, one that includes some interesting suggestions for the cooking of wild ducks in the preliminary section. "All of [Hazelton's] books are scarce" (Biscotti).
