New York: Longmans, Green & Co. 1929. First American edition, from the London sheets. Publisher's brown cloth in dust-jacket. 9 1/4 x 6 1/2 inches (24 x 16 cm); 348 pp.; index, map and many illustrations after photographs. A bright copy in a chipped jacket, one signature a trifle overopened.
Kittenberger hunted for the Hungarian National Museum both before and after the Great War. He pursued elephant, buffalo, lion, hippo, leopard on the Athi Plains of Kenya, north of Lake Victoria in Uganda and the Ruvana Plains of northern Tanganyika. Czech Africa p. 153.
