Publisher's pictorial green cloth with gilt stamped title, illustration pasted to front board, original printed dust jacket. 7 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches; [10], 214 pp.; frontispiece and seven plates. Faint spotting on rear board and spine, thin smudge mark along spine creases, tail of spine softened; jacket spine toned with a lighter square, likely caused by a now-removed sticker, small chips to corners, and small chips and short tears at head of jacket spine; contents generally clean and bright, with occasional light foxing affecting leaves adjacent to plates.
An early Rutledge book, rarely found in its original dust jacket.
