appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition; hinged cover; fabric lined interior; interior fabric is is slightly soiled (age and use appropriate); raised gilding; there are some scattered areas with minor losses to the raised gilt decoration, notably, along the various rim edges; wear t gilding on metal mounts; remnants of scratch protective fabric previously glued to the underside; retailer's paper label affixed to the underside from "Ferdinando Macola, No. 131, Piazza S. Marco, Venezia;" the blue Sèvres mark is over the glaze; there are some shallow flake losses and nicks located along the bottom rim edge, not of great consequence; style not blacklighted
