there has been a professional restoration and repair to the handle of the teapot, which includes white overpaint on the interior side of the body in the area of the handle, and gold overpaint at the upper and lower join areas of the handle and body; there is a small shallow flake loss, now gold overpainted, at the top flat rim edge of the mouth of the teapot; there is some rubbing and general wear to the gilding on the various pieces, notably, to the top should and neck area at the top of the body of the tea caddy; there is wear and rubbing loss to some of the ground coloration, notably, to the neck of the teardrop-shaped bud vase; some of the painted subjects are titled on the underside of the item; not blacklighted
