Rectangular, the cover with chased foliate border enclosing a presentation inscription, the base engine turned, the sides with chased foliate decoration, marked inside base and cover. Length 3 1/4 inches (8.4 cm), approximately 4 ounces.

Engraved: Presented to PETER McKENZIE ESQ. / By a few of his fellow citizens/ as a token of their respect for his exertions in EXPOSING RICHMOND & THE SPY SYSTEM/ Glasgow 1835.
