The padded serpentine back, sides and seat raised on acanthus-carved molded cabriole legs with beaded scrolled feet; exposed frame to one side with penciled inscriptions, presumably those of upholsterers, and dated 1924, partial white accession number '60...' Height 49 inches (124.4 cm), width 30 1/2 inches (77.4 cm), depth 20 inches (50.8 cm).

Large proportions, height of backrest 49 inches, beautifully carved legs, frame original and with later upholsterers penciled inscriptions dated 1924, old marks and scratches, with original cross braces to underframing but with later corner blocks, scuffs to legs and feet.
