Previous restorations, most similar commodes by Ortmann with marble tops, top probably later veneered, dovetails showing through veneers at side edges, age cracks to top, rubbing to parcel-gilding, rubbing to gilding of metal mounts, feet possibly later, losses and age cracks to veneers of drawer fronts and apron, age cracks to sides, several veneer patches.
