Mid-18th century
Each padded back and seat within a scroll- and ruffle-carved frame flanked by padded armrests, the shell-carved seat rail raised on cabriole legs, the backs also carved. Height 39 inches (99 cm), width 27 inches (68.7 cm), depth 20 inches (54.8 cm).

Previous restorations, regilded, later leather upholstery, later corner blocks, rubbing and losses to giding, especially to handholds, old marks and scratches, one armchair with repaired break to left stile at juncture of armrest, top of right stile with age crack, right handhold loose at juncture of voluted support, other chair with age crack to back left left at juncture of backrail, scuffs to legs and feet.
