Vienna (du Paquier) Porcelain Tankard (Krug)
Circa 1730
Of barrel form with oxidized-silver banding, the central register painted in iron-red and enriched with trailing peony stems and other flowers in the Oriental taste, the upper and lower registers with stylized bands of anthemion and pendants, the strapwork scroll handle molded with a mask and torso.
Height 4 1/2 inches, width overall 4 3/4 inches.
