GOREY, EDWARD The Thoughtful Alphabet.
N.p.: Circa 1996. Partial set of 5 (of 6) alphabet broadsides, each titled along bottom, numbered 2, 3, 10, 14, and 15 respectively (lacks number 4), all illustrated with clip art images by Gorey. 18 x 12 inches, sheets, not rolled as usually found, printed in black on heavy white paper. Each poster is the first limited edition, all are variously numbered from the edition of 100, each ink signed and numbered by Gorey in the lower margins; Together with an additional copy of Thoughtful Alphabet No. 15, similarly numbered and ink signed from the edition of 100; And a signed copy of Thoughtful Alphabet No. 4, from the unlimited edition on green paper, similarly sized. Very minor handling wear, fine overall.
The numerical order of these broadsides adheres to no logical order, a very Gorey quirk.
