PIKE, NICOLAS A New and Complete System of Arithmetic, Composed for the Use of the Citizens of the United States.
Newburyport: John Mycall, 1788. First edition. Contemporary calf with green morocco spine label, housed in cloth slipcase. 8 x 5 inches (20 x 12 cm); 512 pp., in text woodcut diagrams and charts, bound without errata. The front board reattached adding modern leather to the joint, the rear joint cracked and holding by cords, wear and small losses, lightly foxed, pencil signature of Henry W. Torrey to title, small label of the Downes Library to pastedown.
