Very fine quality, apparently unsigned, drilled for electricity, overall good condition but with some branches bent inwards, rubbing to gilding, old marks and scratches, dings and dents; overall height 40 inches; this chandelier is after a model made circa 1780 made for Le Cabinet doré, the private apartment of Marie-Antoinette at the château de Versailles ; see H. Ottomeyer and P. Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, p. 238, fig. 4.4.1
