BOURKE-WHITE, MARGARET (1904-1971) George Washington Bridge, Hudson River, NYC,
1931, likely printed 1930s. Toned gelatin silver print with black ink-ruled border, 13 3/8 x 8 7/8 in. (340 x 225 mm) dry mounted to card, signed in pencil on the mount recto, credit stamp and typed title on a label affixed to the reverse of the mount. Minor toning to the mount, some minimal silvering noted to the edges of the image, in all in excellent shape.
One of the great iconic images of American photography of the 1930s, this is a fine example of a signed print, probably intended for exhibition.
