HEMINGWAY, ERNEST Autograph inscription, with another by Jack Dempsey, collected in Havana.
A paper slip inscribed and signed in blue ink: "To Lynn and June Walzer/with much affection/Ernest Hemingway/March 9 1957." 4 3/8 x 6 3/4 inches (11 x 17 cm). Folds; The Hemingway slip housed in an envelope with DEMPSEY, JACK. Inscribed cover. An air mail cover inscribed to the same recipients in pencil and signed "Jack Dempsey", folds. The envelope holding both reporting these collected at the National Hotel, Havana, March 1957; Together with first editions of The Sun Also Rises and A Farewell to Arms, both worn and lacking jackets. The Sun Also Rises, 1926, is a second issue with p. 181 corrected; A Farewell to Arms, 1929, is without the disclaimer. A signed note from Bob Hope is also present in the lot.
