Macedon. Macedonian Kingdom - In the Name and Types of Alexander III (The Great), 336-323 BC (Post-humous issue). AR Tetradrachm (17.1g), Babylon (?) mint, ca. 317-311 BC, struck under Antigonos I Monophthalamos or Seleukos I.
SC 82.6; Price 3704; Müller 714.
Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion scalp. Reverse: Zeus aetophoros enthroned left; holding beaded scepter in left hand; on left, monogram in wreath; below throne, control. Extremely Fine, but gouge on chest of Zeus on reverse.
