A Chinese Phosphatic Brown-Glazed Splashed Stoneware Jar
Tang Dynasty
The ovoid body is covered with an olive-brown glaze that ends in an irregular line above the flat foot to expose the gray granular stoneware. It is decorated on the shoulder with three large splashes of blue phosphatic glaze. Height 10 1/4 inches.
