Plaque: appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition, i.e., corners intact, no visible hairline cracks, etc.; the plaque was examined outside of the frame; it is signed on the front side in the lower left corner "nach Hans Makart;" impressed KPM and scepter mark on the reverse side of the plaque; not blacklighted

the original oil on canvas painting is in the collection of the Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hamburg, Germany, and measures 17 feet tall by 10.4 yards wide.
