Lemuel Wiles did not often paint in a 16 x 20 inch format. According to the artist's record a work of that size titled On the Housatonic River, CT, 16 x 20, sold in 1900 to Mr. Thomas Hall, husband of Winifred Long of Chicago, Il. It is possible that this is the referenced work.
