NEW YORK, NY -- Diamond jewelry soared at Doyle's jewelry sales over two days August 23 anDiamond Necklace d 24, 2022 as competitive bidding drove the sale total over $1 million, surpassing expectations. Highlighting the week was an exquisite diamond necklace designed as a garland swag set with large pear shaped diamonds and tapering baguettes. Offered in a group lot by order of Bank of America, the glittering mid-20th century necklace achieved an exceptional $176,400, far above its $80,000-120,000 estimate.

The sale of Fine Jewelry offered several diamond rings that also exceeded expectations. A ring centering a diamond of 2.30 carats, H color, VS2 clarity estimated at $15,000-20,000 realized $28,250, and another set with a diamond weighing 2.01 carats, F color, VS1 clarity estimate at $12,000-18,000 sold for $21,420.
