[FACSIMILE-WALDSEEMULLER, MARTIN] The Oldest map with the name America of the year 1507, and the carta Marina of the year 1516.
Innsbruck: 1903. Folio. Original three-quarters morocco over marbled boards, the spine and cover gilt lettered. 20 1/2 x 14 inches (52 x 35 cm); with numerous facsimiles after Waldseemuller, the text in German and English. Some scattered spotting in the margins, an unbound copy of he map also laid in.

Mr. Kislak was a major collector of early maps to name America and his 2004 donation of the original Waldeseemuller map to the Library of Congress is well documented.
