STANLEY, HENRY MORTON Group of ten engraved printing plates, eight with portraits of Stanley.
Ten engraved printing plates mounted to wood, eight on copper, two possibly on zinc. Eight feature a portrait of Stanley, one depicts three steamboats on a river and the last a group soldiers before a line of large cannons. The largest plate 8 x 6 inches (20 x 16 cm). Some visible wear, sold as is.

Provenance: Christie's, Exploration and Travel, 24 September 2003, lot 168.
