Old three-quarters morocco, cloth sides, all edges red. 13 1/4 x 11 inches (33.5 x 28 cm); xxvi, 275, [1] pp., including subscriber list; [2], 262 pp.; with the engraved portrait of Lord Grenville and 81 hand-colored plates, comprising 64 aquatint views by Bluck, Stadler, Hill & others after Pugin, Mackenzie, Westall & others and 17 stipple-engraved plates of academic costumes (this copy without the Founder Portraits found in some copies). The plates are mostly in later state. Bindings rubbed, a bit soiled and faded, front joint of the second volume defective, plates offset to text but the plates themselves generally very attractive.
