NICHOLAS II, Emperor of Russia Signed condolence letter to his cousin.
St. Petersburg: 20 January 1901. A one-page letter in French on mourning stationery prepared in a secretarial hand and signed in ink "Nicholas," the note addressed to his cousin the Duke of Schleswig-Holstein ("Monsieur Mon Cousin!") and offering condolences. 10 x 8 inches (26 x 21 cm). Usual folds, with a few nicks to edges, offered with an official copy with secretarial signature; Together ALEXANDRA FEODOROVNA, Empress of Russia. Autograph letter signed. Darmstadt: 24 March 1892. A four-page letter on the recto and verso of a bifolium of mourning stationery, the letter written in German and signed "Alix," opens to 8 x 10 inches (20 x 25 cm). The letter addressed to a Dr. Sell expressing her grief at the loss of her father about 10 days earlier Usual folds with strengthening to tips.
