NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle held a successful sale in the Fine Art auction category on December 13, 2022. Showcased was a wide range of affordable paintings, prints and sculpture spanning the 19th century to the present day by established and emerging artists. Exciting opportunities abound in this popular category for seasoned buyers and new collectors alike.

Highlighting the December 13 sale was Nudes in a Landscape by Fauvist painter Achille Emile Othon Friesz that soared past its $4,000-6,000 to achieve $23,900. Friesz is beloved for his unrestrained palette and romantic images. The painting depicts a group of bathers by a shoreline, rendered in Friesz' unmistakably energetic waves of color.
