Edinburgh and London: [Various publishers], 1847-1851. Approximately 100 volumes. Contemporary gilt decorated tan calf with marbled paper boards, gilt lettered spine labels, all edges marbled. 6 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches. Light to moderate rubbing and wear to spines and edges, a few hinges cracked, some corners mildly bumped, an occasional stain, bookplate of Oliver Burton, an attractive set, sold as is.

A finely bound early set of the complete works of Sir Walter Scott, including The Waverley Novels, The Miscellaneous Prose Works, The Poetical Works, The History of Scotland, Memoris of the Life of Sir Walter Scott.
