Two George III Sterling Silver Snuffer Stands and Two Scissors
Comprising an oval stand with shell and acanthus border marked John Roberts & Co., Sheffield, 1814; the waisted oval stand with leaf-capped handle marked John Cormick, London, 1773; one pair of scissors marked London, 1817, the other Continental, 1839. Length of stands 9 1/2 inches (24 cm) and 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm), respectively, total approximately 12 ounces, weighable.

Cormick - light surface marking from use; slight rock on base; clearly hallmarked
London scissors - 7 1/2 in. long - good detail to decoration; the steel with wear to decoration; engraved with a crest; apparently only marked with date letter
Continental scissors - 6 in. long - clearly hallmarked; lacking nut to keep blades together
