Vine pattern was another of Tiffany & Co.'s most creative flatware patterns. Here fruits, flowers and vegetables trail across the handles captured as in nature, with leaves and tendrils continuing from the fronts to the reverses of the handles. Many of Tiffany & Co.'s late 19th century patterns were made for formal Gilded Age dining, but the appearance of simplicity in Vine pattern pieces marks a contrast, while retaining Tiffany's elegance.
