Collection of American Sterling Silver Match Safes and Boxes
Late 19th/early 20th century
Comprising seven Unger Bros. match safes, two William B. Kerr card holders, Unger Bros. pin box, William B. Kerr evening bag, two Unger Bros. cigarette cases, William B. Kerr travelling photograph frame, and a William B. Kerr lady's cigarette case. Length of largest 5 inches, total approximately 22 ounces.

Match safes generally good - 1 1/2 in. to 2 3/4 in. - most with dents from use; most with script monograms
Card cases - 3 1/8 in. and 3 1/2 in. - each with script monogram; the floral decorated example with spring to cover, possibly from over engraved erasure
Pin box - 4 1/4 in. long
Evening bag - 4 1/2 in. long - engraved script monogram; cover not sitting exactly flush; not fitted in interior
Unger cigarette cases - 5 in. and 3 1/4 in. - larger with monogram; smaller with bruises
Frame - 2 5/8 in. overall - engraved monogram; interior fitted with hinged double sided frame
Lady's cigarette case - 2 3/8 in. long - center blank and slightly soft
