Amphora Pottery Co. Art Nouveau Earthenware Polar Bear Vase
Circa 1900-15
Of tapering cylindrical form, decorated in relief with an Arctic landscape scene, including a white polar bear and terns on an icy mound, with an upper band of a repeating rising sun, impressed company marks. Height 12 7/8 inches.

appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition; there is a burst open air bubble, located at the top flat rim edge of the vase, apparently in the making; when viewed straight down on the interior side there appear to be some firing lines to the body that are in the "well" area of the outer perimeter, however, they actually appear to be separation lines to the white glaze that is somewhat pooled at the bottom; the vase resonates when gently struck; not black lighted
