[GOERCK, CASIMIR THEODOR, after] Edwin Smith's 1823 copy of Goerck's 1795 survey of Dykman's Ground.
Manuscript map in ink and colors on paper, with "From a map made and signed by Casimir Th Goerck Feb 12 1795 in possession of Durye firm or Durye and Thayer Copy in February 1822 by Edward Doughty/Copy'd from that copy October 2nd 1823 by Edwin Smith" in ink below the title. The map is backed. 20 x 16 inches (51 x 41 cm). Small losses to border, tears, stains and spotting.

This map shows Broad Way to Bowery Road bounded by Oliver Street (known as Spring Street after 1800). Winne and Catherine Street would become Mott and Mulberry Streets, and this short stretch of Mary Street known as Cleveland Place.
