[MANGIN-GOERCK] Copy of a Map of ground in the City of New York Surveyed by M. Goerck City Surveyor.
Manuscript map on paper in ink and colors, with "I hereby certify that the above calculation is conform to the Map drawn by M. Goerck of which I have done and underscribed the present copy New York 17th June 1796 C. Mangin City Surveyor" in ink at lower right. 19 1/2 x 14 inches (49 x 36 cm). The map is backed. Chips and small losses to extremities, dust soiling, later markings within the image.

A map made by Joseph-Francois Mangin after a survey by Casimir Goerck showing the blocks east of Broadway at Anthony Street, later renamed Duane Street. The "Corporation Ground" showing just below Chamber Street is the north part of City Hall Park and Tryon Row at the east side of the park is today's Park Row. Such plans in this condition are scarce.
