Macon: Rose & Slade, 1830. Original self-wrappers, stitched. 9 7/8 x 6 inches (25 x 15 cm); 16 pp. Together with a second copy of the same pamphlet, dampstained, edges browning, spotting.
A Baptist treatise against foot-washing, at least in church: "The subject of washing feet as a religious duty, has for several years excited a contention, in some instances unpleasant, among the Baptists in Georgia...Modern feet washers, who profess to perform that act in obedience to the command of Christ, and in imitation of his example, choose not a private house and an evening hour to wash feet, when the act is needed, but they select the house of worship, and the most public occasions to wash feet."
