CALLAHAN, HARRY (1912-1999) [Camera Movement in Neon Lights and Night, Chicago],
likely 1970s, probably printed early 1980s. Dye transfer print, 8 7/8 x 13 3/4 inches (225 x 350 mm) on larger sheet (left and right margins narrow, apparently as issued), with Callahan's signature in pencil on lower right margin on recto, and notations (in pencil) in an unknown hand, on verso. A few tiny color stains from the dye process on extreme margin and verso, no image defects noted.
Callahan had a long-standing fascination with painting with light, from the 1940s on, and printed a number of light studies as dye transfer prints in the early 'eighties.
