London: George Bell and Sons, 1879. First English edition. Publisher's red pictorial gilt. 7 3/8 x 4 7/8 inches; xi, 280, 24 pp.; half-title, publisher's advertisements. Recased preserving much of the original spine, endpapers renewed one or two pale stains to covers, scattered foxing.
Scarce; we trace only one copy at auction since 1950, and only one institutional copy listed in WorldCat. Czech, Africa, p. 75; Mendelssohn I:416-417.
