London: Adam & Charles Black, 1899. First edition. Publisher's pictorial cloth gilt. 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches (21.5 x 15.5 cm); xxviii, 330 pp., 10 pp. adverts.; illustrations, map. Some rubbing and wear to extremities, spine a bit dulled, slight lean, hinges cracked but sound, occasional pale spotting, overopened at one spot.

An important hunting journey from 1894 to 1897. Foa collected about 500 animals for the Museum of Paris, including an enormous elephant. Czech, p. 98.
