Tiffany Gold Favrile Glass Bowl with Underplate
Circa 1894-95
Each in translucent amber colored glass, with applied prunts and threaded decoration, iridized, bowl signed L.C.T. D 12, underplate signed L.C.T. B 2977. Height of bowl 2 1/2 inches, diameter 4 inches; diameter of underplate 7 3/8 inches.

Bowl: there is a C-shaped hairline stress crack, located in close proximity to one of the applied lily pad prunts; there are a few vertical linear-type marks that appear around the upper mouth area of the bowl, which appear under very strong lighting and that resemble stress lines, however, it does not appear that they are cracks but are the result of something else; there is some irregularity to the applied prunts/lily pad decoration, apparently as made, including the absence of one of the tendrils; there is a very small pinhead-size burst air bubble on the interior side of the bowl, in the making, not of great consequence
Underplate: appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition; made slightly "out of round;" there are a few variously size internally trapped air bubbles, in the glass, in the making, not of great consequence; nice bright colored iridescence with gold and pink highlights
