The frame of the lamp is stable; the chrome areas have minor, age-appropriate surface oxidation. The enamel shades are free of major dents and scratches, however, they do have varying amounts of accumulated surface dirt. The enameled handles are also intact and secure, but do reflect wear and tear, including some stains and areas of finish loss; the top of the stem open (without a cap to cover); shades with scuffing and marking with associated finish loss; interior of one shade lacking reflector
