Erwin Walter Burger (1909-1982) was German born artist who moved to Italy and became chief engraver at Fontana Arte, where he was instrumental in bringing Pietro Chiesa's designs to life. With Chiesa's departure from Fontana Arte in 1945, Burger set up his own studio and continued to produce glassworks in a variety of formats.
