Minton Majolica Pale-Pink Ground Six-Pocket Oyster Plate
Shape no. 1323, date cypher for 1871
The central turquoise well surrounded by a band molded with shells within six radiating pink-ground oyster shell pockets, the spokes molded with shells and seaweed, impressed uppercase mark and two small cyphers, raised registry diamond (T-28-4-W) for 28 March 1867, parcel 4, shape no., and black painted 4, diameter 9 1/8 inches; Together with a Mintons Majolica Pale-Turquoise Ground Six-Pocket with Cracker Well Oyster Plate.
Date cypher for 1880, the central pink well encircled by six shell shaped pockets divided by flowerhead and a larger recess for crackers, reserved on a lobed green ground, impressed uppercase mark and two small cyphers, registry diamond (29-Y-K-3) for 29 November 1879, parcel 3, and shape no. 2239, diameter 10 inches.
