London: Robert Jennings, 1824. First edition. Three volumes, contemporary red morocco over spine and corners, red bubble-grain cloth boards, top edge gilt. 15 3/8 x 10 1/2 inches (39 x 27.25 cm); vol I: 206 pp., vol II: 297 pp., vol III: 147, [135] pp., with 3 additional engraved titles and 80 engraved plates, 70 of which are hand colored, with additional copies of plates XLV and LI laid in, printed hand colored historiated initials in text. Light wear to extremities, some dark stains to boards, one hinge cracked and three hinges starting, occasional pale spots, mostly to text leaves, several repaired marginal tears. W. F. Greenwood ("dealer in Works of Art") rubber stamp, old ownership signature.
