[GUTENBERG BIBLE] [Facsimile edition of the Gutenberg Bible]. Prima Pars. [Secunda Pars].
[Leipzig: Insel Verlag, 1913-1914]. Copy 208 from the edition of 300, press-numbered thus, the first complete facsimile edition of the Gutenberg Bible. Full blindstamped brown morocco after the original binding on the Fulda Landesbibliothek copy. 16 1/2 x 11 3/4 inches (42 x 30 cm); unpaginated. Both volumes with rubbing to the binding, the lower portion, about four inches, of the front joint of the upper cover separated and some starting to other joints.

Reproduced from the Berlin copy (now in the Universitatsbibliothek at Tubingen), with some leaves in the first volume from the Landesbibliothek copy at Fulda, this is arguably still one of the best facsimiles. The Pageant facsimile of 1960 is a reprint of this work
