First edition, three volumes in modern green calf for Sotheran's, marbled paper sides, in cloth slipcase. 7 5/8 x 4 5/8 inches (19.25 x 11.5 cm); iv, 303, [1] pp.; iv, 308 pp.; iv, 320 pp. [including the press notices of third edition of Jane Eyre (pp. [318]-320) to rear of volume three]. Spines a trifle sunned, generally a clean set internally. Lacks the ads in volume I; no half-titles were issued.
