New York: The Jungle Publishing Co., 1906. First edition, with the sustainer's edition label on the front pastedown, signed by the author on the front free endpaper. Publisher's pictorial green cloth, stamped in black and white. 7 1/2 x 5 inches (19.5 x 12.5 cm); [8], 413 pp., 3 pp. publisher's ads at rear. Cloth worn, corners bumped, hinges cracked, contents a bit dulled with a few spots of staining and soiling, bookplate of George Sylvester Viereck, booksellers label of Wilshire Book Co., Ex libris ink stamp of Carl E. H. Greab M.D.

A signed copy of Upton Sinclair's classic political novel, from the self-published sustainer's edition. This issue was published simultaneously to the Doubleday edition, and though text is printed from the same plates it has a different title-page bearing The Jungle Publishing Co. imprint, and the Socialist Party logo is embossed on its front board.
