CHILDS, BERNARD The months.
Portfolio of twelve prints, each signed, titled, dated [19]60, and notated as a.p. and numbered 1 from an edition of twelve. Leather-backed clamshell case with decorated paper and chemise. Sheet size 9 7/8 x 8 3/4 inches (25 x 22 cm); twelve color aquatints printed on handmade paper, tipped to folding windowed mounts. The case somewhat sunned on the spine, the mounts a trifle time-stained, a fine set overall.
Childs' work in painting and printmaking is widely held in institutions. His "Months" are among his best-known and regarded series of prints.
