The front cover mounted with a lacquered papier-mâché panel depicting a boyar standing before Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, the back cover with a black papier-mâché panel, fitted with white metal clasp, enclosing forty-six photographs of members of the Russian Imperial family and Russian and European royalty. 10 5/8 inches (27 cm), width 8 3/4 inches (22.2 cm).
