Russian Gold, Malachite and Amber Snuff Box
Unmarked, circa 1825
Oval, in the form of a basket, the malachite veneered body within gold basketweave and ropework borders, the sides with gold ropework handles, the hinged cover set with a cabochon amber within a floral border, with rose gold interior, in a fitted Wartski case. Width 2 1/4 inches (5.7 cm).
