Of etui form, with a hinged cover and cabochon hardstone push-piece, enameled in translucent royal blue over an engine-turned ground, the body chased with Greek-key bands and intertwined laurel branches, within stiff leaf borders, the ends chased with ribbon-tied laurel swags. Height 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm).

In generally good condition. Light surface wear. Apparent professional restoration to enamel in two small spots: on cover near push-piece; and on lower section of case. The two spots fluoresce under UV light. Not visible to the naked eye.
