This drawing is closely related to an engraving by the Flemish artist Aegidius Sadeler (1570-1629; Hollstein/Sadeler 79, Hollstein/Aachen 37), which was copied by a number of other printmakers, including Crispijn de Passe, Cornelis Passe and Domenicus Custos. The original copper plate by Sadeler was in the collection of the Emperor Rudolf II in Prague. A number of painted copies of this composition in various sizes also exist.

Glued to the mount along the upper edge, and in one spot at the center of the lower edge. Paper toned. Small losses of paper and staining around the edges.
