EVANS, WALKER (1903-1975) [Fish Market near Birmingham, Alabama]
1936, printed 1971. Gelatin silver print dry-mounted to card, printed later (from the portfolio, printed 1971), image 7 1/2 x 9 7/16 inches (190 x 240 mm), signed on the mount below the image in pencil (l.r.), dated and numbered 6 from the edition of 100. No defects to image noted in raking light. Two small tape stains to the mount, minor light-stain in the mat opening to the mount, the image with excellent tones.
